Possible Causes
Broken or stretched drive belt (if fitted), Failed brushroll motor, Disconnected wiring in floorhead, Jammed brushroll bearings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the vacuum and remove the battery.
Check the brushroll:
- Turn the floorhead over and remove the brushroll. Clear any hair or debris.
- Inspect the drive belt (if your model uses one) for breakage or stretching. Replace if damaged.
- Spin the brushroll by hand; if it is stiff, replace the brushroll assembly.
- With the brushroll removed, briefly power on the vacuum and look into the drive area (keep fingers clear). If the drive spindle does not turn, the brushroll motor or floorhead PCB is likely faulty and the floorhead should be replaced.
Warning: Do not run the floorhead for long periods with the brushroll removed; it can unbalance the motor.
