Possible Causes
Damaged or missing bin gasket, Bin not latched properly, Cracked bin or cyclone housing, Warped plastic from heat exposure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and remove the battery.
Seal inspection:
- Remove the dust bin and inspect the rubber gasket around its rim and the mating surface on the main body.
- Look for tears, flattening, or hardened rubber. Replace the gasket or bin assembly if damaged.
- Check for cracks in the bin or cyclone housing; replace the assembly if any are found.
- Ensure the bin is fully latched when reinstalled; you should hear a positive click.
Warning: Operating with a leaking bin can allow dust into the motor compartment and shorten motor life.
