Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the vacuum off, remove it from the charger, and detach the battery pack if removable. Allow the unit to cool for at least 30 minutes.
Cooling and cleaning:
- Check all filters (pre-motor and post-motor/HEPA if fitted). Clean or replace according to the user manual. Ensure they are completely dry before refitting.
- Inspect the motor cooling vents on the main body of the vacuum. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust buildup.
- Ensure there are no blockages in the dust bin, cyclone, wand, or floorhead that could cause the motor to work harder and overheat.
- After cooling and cleaning, refit the battery and run the vacuum on a lower power setting for a few minutes to test.
- If E3 appears again quickly, the thermal sensor or main suction motor may be failing and will likely require professional replacement.
Warning: Do not cover the vacuum body or block vents during use; this can trigger overheating and damage the motor.
