Possible Causes
Filters used while damp, Dust bin not cleaned regularly, Pet hair and organic debris trapped in cyclone, Use on wet or damp surfaces
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and remove the battery.
Deodorise and clean:
- Empty the dust bin and wash it with mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Remove all washable filters and wash them according to the manual. Allow at least 24 hours to dry fully.
- Wipe the inside of the cyclone housing with a slightly damp cloth (do not soak). Allow to air dry.
- Optionally, place a small amount of vacuum-safe deodorising granules in the dust bin (check compatibility with Russell Hobbs guidance).
- Reassemble only when all parts are completely dry.
Warning: Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals on plastic parts; they can cause cracking and odour retention.
