Poor Debris Retention / Blocked Front Lip
Vacuum spits debris back out of the floorhead when pulled backwards
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Worn or damaged floorhead front seal, Blocked or partially blocked suction channel, Brushroll not spinning at correct speed, Incorrect height setting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and remove the battery.
Improve retention:
- Inspect the front rubber lip or seal on the floorhead for tears or deformation. Replace the floorhead if the seal is badly worn.
- Clean the suction channel behind the brushroll to ensure smooth airflow.
- Verify that the brushroll spins freely and at full speed.
- Use the correct floorhead setting for the floor type; on some models, a hard floor setting may reduce debris throwback.
Warning: Do not remove the front seal permanently; it is essential for proper pickup.
