Possible Causes

Hair or string wrapped around brush roll, Broken or stretched brush drive belt, Failed brush roll motor (in motorized head), Faulty brush on/off switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery and disconnect the floor head from the wand.

  • Remove brush roll: Open the brush access cover on the floor head (usually via latches or screws). Lift out the brush bar.
  • Clean thoroughly: Cut away hair, string, and fibers from the brush and end caps using scissors. Ensure the brush spins freely in its bearings.
  • Inspect belt (if belt-driven): Check the drive belt for cracks, glazing, or stretching. Replace if loose or broken.
  • Check brush motor (if motorized): With the brush removed, gently spin the motor drive spindle. If it is seized or very rough, the motor is likely faulty.
  • Reassemble and test: Refit the brush roll and cover, reinstall the battery, and test. Ensure the brush on/off switch is set to ON.

If the brush still does not spin and the brush indicator continues flashing, the brush motor or wiring in the floor head may need replacement.
