Possible Causes
Dirty or damp filters, Organic debris left in dust bin, Mold growth in bin or hose, Pet hair accumulation in brush roll
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before cleaning.
- Empty and wash bin: Thoroughly wash the dust bin with mild soap and water if allowed. Dry completely.
- Clean or replace filters: Wash washable filters and allow to dry 24 hours. Replace non-washable HEPA filters if they smell.
- Clean brush roll: Remove hair and debris from the brush. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry.
- Air out the unit: Leave the vacuum open (bin and filters removed) in a dry, ventilated area for several hours.
Persistent odors after cleaning may require replacing filters and, in severe cases, the hose or bin.
