Vacuum will not stand upright or the floor head will not lock into the upright position.

Safety first: Remove the battery before working near the pivot or lock.

• Inspect lock pedal: Check for cracks or missing pieces on the foot pedal or lock lever.
• Clean pivot area: Remove hair and debris from around the pivot and lock mechanism.
• Test lock engagement: Gently move the handle between reclined and upright positions while operating the lock pedal to see if it catches.
• Replace damaged parts: If the lock components are visibly broken or worn, the floor head or lock assembly should be replaced.

A functioning upright lock is important for storage and safety; do not force the handle if it will not lock.
