Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the vacuum OFF and remove the battery pack before clearing any blockages.
Clear airflow path:
- Check the floorhead: Remove the motorised floorhead from the wand. Inspect the brushroll for hair, string, or debris wrapped around it. Cut away tangles with scissors, avoiding the bristles, and pull debris free.
- Inspect the wand and ducts: Detach the extension wand and look through it toward a light source. Remove any visible obstructions using a flexible rod or straightened coat hanger with a rounded end.
- Empty the dust bin: Remove the dust container, empty it fully, and tap gently to dislodge compacted dust from the cyclone shroud.
- Clean filters: Remove the pre‑motor filter and HEPA/post‑motor filter (if fitted). Tap gently outdoors to remove dust. If the manual allows, rinse foam filters in lukewarm water only, then air‑dry for 24 hours before refitting.
Test again: Reassemble the vacuum, refit the battery, and run it on the lowest power setting first. If E2 no longer appears, the overload was caused by blockage.
If E2 persists: The main suction motor may be failing and drawing too much current. At this stage, replacement of the motor assembly or complete motor housing is recommended by a qualified technician.
