Possible Causes

Open circuit main motor, Burnt motor driver MOSFET on PCB, Broken motor wiring harness, Faulty motor speed control sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery pack before opening any covers. If under warranty, seek authorised service instead of opening the unit.

Basic checks:

  • Confirm that the dust bin and filters are correctly installed; some models will not run the motor if components are not seated.
  • Try all power modes (low, medium, boost) to see if any mode runs the motor.

Internal inspection (advanced):

  • Remove the screws securing the motor housing and gently separate the casing.
  • Locate the main suction motor and its two power wires. Check for broken or disconnected wires and reseat any connectors.
  • Visually inspect the PCB for burnt components near the motor terminals.

If the motor windings are open (tested with a multimeter) or the motor shows signs of burning, replace the complete main suction motor assembly. If the motor tests good but E7 persists, the motor driver section of the PCB has failed and the main control PCB must be replaced.
