Possible Causes

Dirty or bent electrical pins on wand connector, Broken wiring in extension wand, Faulty accessory recognition circuit on PCB, Non‑genuine floorhead not recognised

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery pack before inspecting connectors.

Inspect connectors:

  • Detach the extension wand and motorised floorhead.
  • Examine the electrical pins at both ends of the wand and on the vacuum body. Clean gently with a dry cloth and ensure none are bent or pushed in.

Check the wand and floorhead:

  • Reconnect the wand firmly until it clicks at both ends.
  • Test with another compatible Salter floorhead if available. If the second head works, the original floorhead has an internal fault.

If F3 persists with known-good accessories, the accessory detection or communication circuit on the main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
