Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack before working near the controls.
Free the button:
- Press the mode button repeatedly to see if it frees up. Sometimes dust can cause it to stick.
- Wipe around the button with a slightly damp cloth to remove grime. Do not allow liquid to enter the housing.
Internal inspection (if out of warranty):
- Remove the screws securing the handle/control panel.
- Lift the panel carefully and inspect the small PCB and ribbon cable for damage.
- Clean any dust from the button contacts with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton bud.
If the button still does not register and F4 remains, replace the control keypad PCB or the entire handle assembly.
