Possible Causes

Battery cells degraded below usable capacity, BMS detecting excessive voltage sag, Battery pack reached end of life, Internal cell imbalance

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery pack before inspection. Do not open the battery casing.

Confirm charging:

  • Charge the battery fully on the original Salter charger until the indicator shows full.
  • Immediately test run time on low power. If it still shuts off quickly with F5, the pack is likely worn out.

Visual inspection:

  • Check the battery for swelling, cracks, or leakage. Do not use a damaged pack.

The only reliable fix for F5 due to capacity loss is to replace the complete Salter lithium‑ion battery pack with a new, genuine unit.
