Possible Causes
Clogged pre-motor filter, Blocked dustbin inlet or wand, Overfilled dustbin, Failing suction motor with high friction
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum, remove the battery, and allow the unit to cool for at least 30 minutes before inspection.
- Empty the dustbin: Remove and fully empty the dustbin. Tap gently to dislodge fine dust.
- Clean filters: Remove the pre-motor filter and HEPA filter (if accessible). Tap them gently over a trash can. If the manual allows, rinse foam filters with lukewarm water only and let them dry completely (24 hours) before reinstalling. Never run the vacuum with wet filters.
- Check for blockages: Inspect the wand, floor head neck, and dustbin inlet for clogs. Use a long, non-metal rod to push out debris if needed.
- Test airflow: After cleaning and reassembly, run the vacuum on low power first. If C04 no longer appears, the issue was restricted airflow.
- If C04 returns quickly with clean filters and no clogs: The motor may be overheating due to internal wear. Continued use can cause permanent damage; contact a Samsung service center for motor assembly replacement.
