Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove the battery pack before inspecting the motor or internal wiring.
- 1. Check for blockages: Detach the floor nozzle, wand, and dust bin. Look through each section for clogs (hair, dust bunnies, small objects). Use a long brush or flexible rod to clear the wand and nozzle neck.
- 2. Clean cyclone and filters: Empty the dust bin. Remove the cyclone unit and pre-motor filter (usually a foam or fabric filter). Tap gently over a trash can to remove dust. If the filter is washable (see Siemens manual), rinse with lukewarm water only and allow to dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling.
- 3. Inspect brush roll: Remove the brush roll from the motorized floor head. Cut away hair and threads from the ends and bristles. Ensure the brush roll spins freely on its bearings. If stiff, the bearings may be seized and overloading the motor.
- 4. Test without accessories: Reinstall the battery and run the vacuum with only the main body (no wand, no floor head). If E02 still appears quickly, the main suction motor may be drawing too much current and needs replacement.
- 5. Check motor connectors: With battery removed, open the motor housing and verify that the motor connectors are tight and not burnt. Loose or partially melted connectors can cause intermittent overcurrent faults.
If the error persists after clearing all blockages and cleaning filters, the main suction motor or motor wiring harness is likely defective and should be replaced.
