Possible Causes

Clogged dust bin inlet, Blocked wand or flexible hose, Obstructed motor inlet grille, Severely clogged pre-motor and HEPA exhaust filters

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Remove the battery before disassembling any parts.

  • 1. Empty and inspect dust bin: Remove the bin and empty it completely. Check the bin inlet and outlet ports for compacted dust or debris. Use a soft brush to loosen any packed dirt.
  • 2. Check wand and hose: Detach the wand and any flexible hose attachments. Look through them against a light source. If you cannot see light, there is a blockage. Push a flexible cleaning rod or straightened (but blunted) coat hanger through to clear the obstruction.
  • 3. Clean filters: Remove the pre-motor filter and HEPA exhaust filter. Tap both gently to remove dust. If washable per Siemens instructions, rinse with lukewarm water and allow to dry fully (24 hours). Never reinstall damp filters.
  • 4. Inspect motor inlet grille: With the bin removed, locate the motor inlet grille. Use a brush or compressed air (short bursts) to remove lint and dust buildup.
  • 5. Reassemble and test: Reinstall dry filters, bin, wand, and nozzle. Run the vacuum on low power first. If E03 no longer appears and suction is restored, the issue was airflow restriction.

If E03 persists with all accessories removed and clean filters, the internal air path or cyclone assembly may be damaged or misaligned and may require replacement.
