Possible Causes
Battery pack at end of life (capacity loss), One or more weak cells in Li-ion pack, Battery management system (BMS) limiting current, Poor contact between battery and vacuum terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not open the battery pack casing; Li-ion cells can be hazardous if punctured or shorted.
- 1. Fully charge battery: Place the battery on the Siemens charger until the indicator shows full charge. This may take several hours.
- 2. Clean contacts: With the battery removed, wipe the metal contacts on both the battery and vacuum with a dry cloth. If there is oxidation, lightly rub with a pencil eraser and wipe clean.
- 3. Test runtime: After full charge, run the vacuum continuously on low power and time how long it operates. If runtime is significantly shorter than specified in the manual, the battery is degraded.
- 4. Try another battery (if available): If you have a second Siemens battery, test with it. If E07 disappears, the original battery pack is faulty.
- 5. Replace battery pack: If the pack cannot support high power modes without triggering E07, replace it with a genuine Siemens Li-ion battery pack of the correct series.
Do not attempt to rebuild or modify the battery pack yourself; this can be dangerous and voids warranty.
