Possible Causes

Damaged handle keypad membrane, Faulty UI PCB, Liquid ingress into control panel, Disconnected ribbon cable between UI and main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Remove the battery before opening the handle or control panel.

  • 1. Inspect for liquid damage: Check around the buttons for signs of dried liquid or corrosion. If the vacuum was exposed to spills, the keypad may be damaged.
  • 2. Open handle housing: Remove screws and carefully separate the handle halves to access the UI PCB and keypad.
  • 3. Check ribbon cable: Ensure the ribbon cable from the UI PCB to the main PCB is fully inserted and locked in its connector.
  • 4. Clean contacts: If there is light corrosion, gently clean with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush, then allow to dry completely.
  • 5. Replace UI module: If buttons still do not respond, replace the entire handle UI PCB and keypad assembly.

Do not use water or household cleaners inside the handle; only use electronics-safe cleaning methods.
