Possible Causes
Shorted accessory motor (mini turbo brush), Damaged accessory wiring in wand, Faulty accessory detection circuit on main PCB, Jammed accessory brush causing overcurrent
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove the battery and detach all accessories before troubleshooting.
- 1. Isolate the accessory: Remove the motorized accessory (mini turbo brush, upholstery tool) and run the vacuum with just the main body. If E9 disappears, the accessory is likely at fault.
- 2. Inspect accessory brush: Open the accessory (usually via a side cap or bottom plate) and remove the brushroll. Clear any hair or debris and ensure the brush spins freely.
- 3. Check accessory connector: Inspect the electrical contacts on the accessory and wand for bent pins or debris. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
- 4. Test wand wiring: Attach the main floor nozzle instead of the suspect accessory. If the main nozzle works but the small accessory triggers E9, replace the accessory.
- 5. If all accessories trigger E9: The wand wiring harness or main PCB accessory driver may be damaged and require professional repair.
