SilverCrest Brushroll Imbalance / Bearing Failure

Loud rattling or vibration from floor nozzle when brush is running

Advertisements

Possible Causes

Warped brushroll, Worn brushroll end bearings, Debris stuck in brush housing, Broken brush bristles causing imbalance

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Remove the battery and detach the floor nozzle.

  • 1. Remove brushroll: Unlock and pull out the brushroll from the SilverCrest floor nozzle.
  • 2. Clean thoroughly: Remove all hair and debris from the brush and housing.
  • 3. Check straightness: Roll the brush on a flat surface. If it wobbles significantly, it is warped and should be replaced.
  • 4. Inspect bearings: Spin the end caps by hand. If they feel rough or seized, replace the brushroll assembly.

Reinstall or replace the brushroll and test. Persistent vibration may indicate damage to the nozzle housing or motor.
