Vacuum leaves lines of debris and does not pick up well from carpets
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Worn brush bristles, Brushroll not rotating, Slipping drive belt (if belt-driven), Incorrect height or mode setting on nozzle
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove the battery and detach the floor nozzle.
- 1. Verify brush rotation: With the vacuum reassembled and battery inserted, briefly run the unit and observe whether the brushroll spins. Stop and remove battery again.
- 2. Clean brushroll: Remove hair and fibers from the bristles.
- 3. Check bristle wear: If bristles are very short or flattened, replace the brushroll.
- 4. Inspect belt (if applicable): On belt-driven SilverCrest heads, check the belt for slack or cracks. Replace if worn.
After replacing worn parts, test pickup on carpet again.
