Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the vacuum OFF, remove the battery pack (if removable), and disconnect the charger from the wall before inspecting anything. Do not open the battery pack casing.
- 1. Check battery charge level: Place the vacuum on its TCL charging dock or connect the TCL wall charger. Confirm the charger LED and the vacuum's battery indicator light up. Allow at least 3–4 hours of uninterrupted charging.
- 2. Reseat the battery pack: If your TCL cordless vacuum has a removable battery, press the release tab, slide the pack out, inspect the contacts for dust or oxidation, and gently clean with a dry cloth. Reinsert firmly until it clicks.
- 3. Try a different outlet: Plug the TCL charger into a known‑good wall outlet (avoid power strips). If the charger LED does not light, suspect the charger.
- 4. Reset BMS (if supported): After a full charge, remove the battery for 30 seconds, then reinstall and hold the power button for 10–15 seconds to clear a temporary protection lockout (some TCL models support this soft reset).
- 5. Inspect for overheating history: If the vacuum recently shut down from heat, let the battery cool for 30–60 minutes at room temperature before retrying.
Stop and replace: If E1 persists with a known‑good charger and outlet, the internal battery pack or its BMS is likely faulty. Do not attempt to open or repair the pack. Replace with a compatible TCL lithium‑ion battery pack specified for your exact model, or contact an authorized TCL service center.
