Possible Causes

Clogged cyclone assembly, Blocked extension tube, Overloaded dust bin, Severely clogged pre-motor or HEPA filter

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery before disassembling air paths.

  • 1. Empty dust bin: Remove and empty the dust container. Tap gently to remove fine dust from the cyclone mesh.
  • 2. Clear wand and tools: Detach the wand and look through it toward a light source. Use a flexible rod or broom handle to gently push out any blockage. Check all tools and the floor head inlet.
  • 3. Clean filters: Remove the pre-motor and HEPA/post-motor filters. Tap off dust outdoors. If TCL specifies them as washable, rinse with lukewarm water only and allow to dry for 24 hours.
  • 4. Inspect seals: Check the rubber seals around the dust bin and filter housing for deformation or misalignment that could affect airflow sensors.

After cleaning: Reassemble with dry filters and test. If E8 still appears with clear airflow, the airflow sensor or pressure switch on the main PCB may be faulty and should be checked or replaced by a technician.
