Possible Causes
Pre-motor foam filter saturated with dust, Filter washed but not fully dried, Use of non‑genuine or incorrect filter element, Filter installed incorrectly leaving gaps
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery before handling filters.
- 1. Remove pre-motor filter: Open the dust bin or filter cover and take out the foam/fabric pre-motor filter.
- 2. Clean or replace: Tap the filter gently to remove dust. If TCL allows washing, rinse under lukewarm water until clear. Do not use detergents unless specified.
- 3. Dry completely: Air-dry the filter for at least 24 hours until no moisture remains. A damp filter can trigger F1 and damage the motor.
- 4. Reinstall correctly: Ensure the filter is seated flat and the cover is fully closed so that air passes through the filter as designed.
Note: If the filter is torn, deformed, or permanently clogged, replace it with a genuine TCL pre-motor filter designed for your model.
