Possible Causes
Dust bin not cleaned regularly, Filters saturated with fine dust and allergens, Moist debris left in bin causing mildew, Pet hair and dander buildup in TCL cyclone system
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and remove the battery before cleaning. Wear a dust mask if you are sensitive to dust.
- 1. Deep clean dust bin: Remove the bin and empty it. Wash the bin and cyclone parts with mild soap and water if TCL allows, then dry completely.
- 2. Clean or replace filters: Tap out dust from filters. Wash if permitted and let them dry for 24 hours. Replace heavily soiled or smelly filters.
- 3. Check for wet debris: Avoid vacuuming wet materials. If you did, clean and dry the bin and filters thoroughly.
- 4. Ventilate: After cleaning, run the vacuum briefly in a well‑ventilated area to clear residual odor.
Maintenance: Regularly cleaning the bin and replacing filters as recommended by TCL will prevent odors.
