Possible Causes
Pre-filter heavily clogged with fine dust, HEPA/post-motor filter saturated, Filter not seated correctly, Filter life exceeded according to sensor algorithm
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the vacuum and remove the battery before handling filters.
- Remove and inspect filters: Take out the pre-filter and HEPA/post-motor filter. If they appear dark gray, caked, or deformed, they need cleaning or replacement.
- Clean washable filters: If your Tineco model uses washable filters, rinse them under cold running water until the water runs clear. Do not use soap or brushes that can damage the media.
- Dry completely: Allow filters to air dry for at least 24 hours in a warm, ventilated area. Do not use a hair dryer, oven, or direct sunlight.
- Replace worn filters: If filters remain discolored, torn, or misshapen after cleaning, replace them with genuine Tineco filter sets.
- Reinstall correctly: Ensure filters are fully seated and the dust bin is locked in place. Misaligned filters can trigger the sensor.
- Reset filter indicator (if applicable): Some models require holding a specific button to reset the filter reminder. Refer to your user manual for the exact procedure.
