Possible Causes
Broken or stripped brushroll drive gear, Worn brushroll end bearings, Disconnected brush motor wiring, Failed brush motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery and detach the motorized nozzle.
- Step 1 – Check for jams: Remove the brushroll and clear all hair and debris.
- Step 2 – Inspect drive mechanism: Look for broken gears or couplers inside the nozzle. If the motor shaft spins but the brushroll does not, the drive gear is likely damaged.
- Step 3 – Test motor: With the brushroll removed and battery installed, briefly power the vacuum and select brush mode. If the motor shaft does not spin, the motor or wiring is faulty.
Replace the brushroll or entire motorized nozzle assembly if mechanical parts are damaged or the motor has failed.
