Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack. Do not continue to power the unit if there are signs of liquid damage or burning smell.
- Step 1 – Soft reset: Remove the battery for at least 5 minutes. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds with the battery removed to discharge residual power. Reinstall the battery and test.
- Step 2 – Inspect for liquid damage: Check around the handle, display, and vents for signs of moisture, sticky residue, or corrosion. If the vacuum was used to pick up liquids or in a very humid environment, internal damage is possible.
- Step 3 – Check external accessories: Remove all attachments and try to start the vacuum with only the main body and battery. A shorted nozzle or wand wiring can sometimes trigger a board error.
When to call a technician: E6 usually indicates an internal electronics failure. Accessing and replacing the main PCB requires disassembly of the handle and motor housing and should be done by a qualified technician. If liquid ingress is visible, the motor assembly may also need replacement.
