Possible Causes
Dirty or bent accessory ID pins on main body, Broken ID resistor or chip in nozzle, Damaged accessory detection circuit on main PCB, Non‑compatible third‑party nozzle attached
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before cleaning contacts.
- Step 1 – Clean accessory contacts: On the main body and nozzle connector, clean the metal pins and pads with a dry cloth. Ensure no plastic is deformed around the contacts.
- Step 2 – Check fitment: Attach the nozzle firmly until it clicks. A loose connection can prevent the vacuum from recognizing the accessory.
- Step 3 – Test with another powered tool: If you have a Toshiba mini motorized tool, attach it and test. If it works, the floor nozzle’s ID circuit is faulty.
When to call a technician: If no powered tools are recognized, the main PCB’s accessory detection circuit may be damaged and should be replaced by a professional.
