Vacuum shuts off intermittently during use, then restarts after a short rest
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Clogged filters restricting airflow, Blocked vents around motor housing, Overuse in turbo mode on thick carpets, Failing motor drawing excess current
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery. Allow the unit to cool for at least 30 minutes.
- Step 1 – Clean filters and bin: Empty the dust bin and clean all filters thoroughly.
- Step 2 – Check vents: Inspect and clean cooling vents on the main body.
- Step 3 – Reduce load: Use a lower power mode on thick carpets and avoid pressing the nozzle too hard into the surface.
If shutdowns continue with clean filters and normal use, the motor or thermal sensor may be failing and should be checked by a technician.
