Possible Causes
Severely blocked cyclone assembly, Clogged pre‑motor filter, Jammed brush bar increasing load, Failing high‑speed DC motor in main body
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before disassembling any parts. Avoid running the motor with covers removed.
- Step 1 – Empty the bin: Detach and empty the dust container. Tap gently to dislodge compacted dust from the cyclone shroud.
- Step 2 – Clean cyclone and shroud: Remove the cyclone assembly (if removable on your Tower model). Use a soft brush to clean the mesh shroud and internal cones. Do not wash non‑washable parts; check your manual.
- Step 3 – Clean filters: Remove the pre‑motor filter and post‑motor HEPA filter. If they are washable types, rinse under lukewarm water until clear, then air‑dry for at least 24 hours. Never reinstall damp filters.
- Step 4 – Check brush bar: Remove the floorhead brush bar and clear all hair and debris. Ensure the end caps and bearings rotate freely.
- Step 5 – Test on low power: Reassemble, refit the fully dry filters, and test on the lowest power setting. If E3 only appears on turbo and the motor sounds rough or high‑pitched, the motor may be failing.
- Step 6 – Replace motor unit: If overload persists with clean filters and clear airflow, replace the Tower main motor assembly or motor housing module as a complete unit.
