Possible Causes
Clogged main suction path, Blocked cyclone assembly, Severely clogged HEPA exhaust filter, Motor fan obstruction
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the vacuum and remove the battery pack (if removable) before disassembling any parts.
- Empty the dust bin: Remove the dust container and empty it completely. Tap gently to dislodge compacted debris.
- Check cyclone and inlet: Detach the cyclone assembly and inspect the inlet, mesh screen, and internal cones for hair, dust cakes, or foreign objects. Clean with a soft brush; avoid water unless the manual explicitly allows washing.
- Inspect wand and floor head: Remove the extension tube and motorized floor head. Look through the tube for blockages. Check the neck of the floor head for clogs and remove any debris.
- Clean filters: Remove the pre-filter and HEPA filter. Tap them gently outdoors to remove dust. If they are washable types (check Xiaomi manual), rinse with lukewarm water only and allow to dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling.
- Test without accessories: Reinstall the battery and run the vacuum with only the main body (no wand, no floor head). If it runs normally, the blockage is in the wand or attachment.
- If shutdown persists: The motor may be drawing excessive current due to internal bearing wear or fan damage. In that case, the motor assembly should be replaced rather than continued use.
