Battery runtime is significantly shorter than when new, even on low power.

Safety first: Remove the battery before inspection.

• Calibrate (if supported): Fully charge the battery, then run the vacuum continuously on low power until it stops. Recharge fully again to help the indicator recalibrate.
• Check for swelling or damage: If the battery appears swollen or damaged, stop using it immediately.
• Reduce load: Use lower power modes and clean filters to minimise current draw and confirm whether runtime improves.

Substantially reduced runtime after 2–3 years of normal use is typical for Li‑ion packs. Replace the battery with a genuine Zanussi pack to restore performance.
