Dishwasher display and buttons work, but the machine does not fill with water and remains silent after starting.

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap before inspection.

• Listen for valve click: At the start of a cycle, you should hear a faint click and water entering. If not, suspect valve control.
• Check valve connector: Access the inlet valve and ensure its electrical connector is firmly attached.
• Inspect door harness: The wiring passing through the door hinge area can break from flexing. Check for damaged wires and repair if necessary.
• Control board diagnosis: If wiring and valve are OK, the main PCB may not be sending power to the valve and may need replacement.
