Possible Causes

Leak from circulation pump or hoses, Leaking door seal or bottom door gasket, Cracked sump or tub, Over-foaming from incorrect detergent in AEG dishwasher

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher or switch off the circuit breaker. Water may be present in the base; be cautious of sharp edges when moving the appliance.

  • Check for visible leaks: Open the door and inspect the bottom of the door gasket and corners for signs of water trails. Look under the sink for water around the hose connections.
  • Drain the base tray: Carefully pull the dishwasher out from the cabinet. Tilt it gently about 45° backwards or sideways (check your manual) to allow water in the base tray to run out onto towels. This may temporarily clear the i30 error.
  • Inspect hoses and components: With the side panels or kick plate removed (if you are competent to do so), look for drips around the circulation pump, heater housing, inlet valve, and internal hoses while running a short cycle.
  • Check detergent use: Ensure you are using dishwasher-specific detergent and not hand-washing liquid. Over-foaming can cause leaks over the tub lip.
  • Permanent repair: Once the leak source is identified (e.g., split hose, worn door seal, cracked sump), replace the faulty component. If you cannot locate the leak, contact an AEG service technician.
