Dishes are wet at the end of the cycle; poor drying performance.

Safety first: Turn off power before testing heater circuits.

• Check settings: Ensure a heated dry option is selected and not an energy-saver or air-dry mode.
• Use rinse aid: Fill the rinse aid dispenser; this greatly improves drying.
• Inspect heater: Verify the heating element is intact and not broken. Test for continuity from below.
• Check vent: Make sure the vent outlet is not blocked and that the vent fan (if equipped) runs during drying.

Repair action: Replace a failed heating element or vent fan assembly. If both are good but still no heat, the main control board may not be energizing the heater and may require replacement.
