Possible Causes

Tripped circuit breaker, loose power connection at junction box, faulty door latch not allowing power to control, failed main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the circuit breaker before opening any electrical connections.

  • Check household power: Verify the dishwasher's circuit breaker is ON and not tripped. Reset if necessary.
  • Inspect junction box: Remove the toe-kick and open the electrical junction box where the house wiring connects to the dishwasher. Confirm wire nuts are tight and no wires are burnt.
  • Test outlet/line: If the dishwasher uses a plug, test the outlet with another appliance. For hardwired units, use a multimeter to verify voltage at the junction box.
  • Check door latch: Ensure the door closes and latches firmly; some models will not power the UI if the latch switch is open.

Repair action: Tighten or repair any loose or burnt connections. If power is present at the control board but there is no response from the UI, replace the main control board and/or user interface as indicated by testing.
