Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker.

Clean the control panel: Wipe the keypad surface with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly. Avoid excessive moisture around the edges of the panel.
Check for stuck buttons: Press each button individually and feel for one that does not click or return properly. If one feels stuck, gently work it back and forth.
Inspect inside the door: Remove the inner door panel to access the keypad assembly. Look for signs of liquid intrusion or food debris. Clean carefully with a dry brush or compressed air.
Reset the control: Restore power and see if the error clears. If the same button appears stuck (often indicated in the tech sheet), the keypad is likely defective.

Repair action: Replace the user interface / keypad assembly if cleaning and reseating connectors do not resolve the F2E1 error.
