Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before servicing.
- Access wiring: Remove the inner door panel to expose the main control board and user interface connections.
- Reseat connectors: Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable and harnesses between the UI and the main control board. Ensure they are fully seated and locked.
- Inspect cable: Look for kinks, cuts, or burn marks on the ribbon cable. Any visible damage means the cable or UI must be replaced.
- Check for pin damage: Inspect the board connectors for bent or corroded pins.
Repair action: If reseating and inspecting the harness does not clear the F2E2 code, replace the user interface first. If the problem persists, replace the main control board as well.
