Possible Causes
Failed vent fan motor, stuck vent door, wiring issue to vent assembly, control board vent driver fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power.
- Locate vent: The vent is usually on the top of the door or side of the tub. Inspect for obstructions or buildup around the vent outlet.
- Access vent assembly: Remove the inner door panel to reach the vent and fan assembly.
- Test fan motor: Disconnect the fan and measure resistance across the motor. An open circuit indicates a failed fan.
- Check vent door: Ensure the vent flap moves freely and is not warped or stuck.
Repair action: Replace the vent fan or complete vent assembly if the motor is open or the door is stuck. If the fan is good but never receives power, the main control board may need replacement.
