Dishwasher powers on but will not start when Start is pressed; display may show normal time.

Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the door latch or control panel.

• Confirm door closure: Close the door firmly until you hear a positive click. Check that the door is not hitting adjacent cabinets.
• Check for child lock: On some Asko models, a child lock can prevent starting. Refer to the user manual to disable it (often by holding specific buttons).
• Test door switch: If the display shows door open or will not start, inspect and test the door switch for continuity when latched. Replace the door lock assembly if faulty.
• Inspect Start button: If the button feels stuck or unresponsive, remove the control panel and check the switch on the UI board. Replace the user interface board if the Start switch has failed.
