Possible Causes
Stuck inlet valve, Blocked pressure hose, Faulty pressure sensor, Control board not closing inlet valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and water immediately if overfilling is suspected.
- Check water level: Open the door mid-cycle. If water is above the normal level (near the bottom of the door), overfill is occurring.
- Inspect inlet valve: With power off, disconnect the inlet hose. If water continues to flow from the valve, it is stuck open and must be replaced.
- Clean pressure system: Check the pressure hose and air trap for blockages and clean thoroughly.
- Test again: After cleaning and replacing any faulty parts, run a short cycle and monitor water level.
- If E5 persists: The control board may not be shutting off the valve correctly and may require replacement.
