Possible Causes

Restricted water supply to dishwasher, Failed water inlet valve, Clogged inlet filter screen, Faulty flow meter or pressure sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker and turn off the water supply before working on the dishwasher.

  • Check household water supply: Ensure the shutoff valve (usually under the sink) feeding the Asko dishwasher is fully open. Verify water pressure is normal at the kitchen faucet.
  • Inspect inlet hose and filter: Pull the dishwasher out slightly if needed. Turn off water, disconnect the inlet hose at the dishwasher, and check the small metal or plastic filter screen inside the Asko inlet port for debris. Rinse it under running water and reinstall.
  • Check for hose kinks: Make sure the inlet hose is not sharply bent or pinched behind the machine or under the cabinet.
  • Test a reset: Restore power, turn water back on, and try a short cycle. If F1 returns quickly, the water inlet valve or flow meter may be defective.
  • Advanced check (for experienced DIYers): With power disconnected, access the bottom front panel, locate the Asko water inlet valve assembly, and check its coil resistance with a multimeter. If open or out of spec, replace the valve. If the valve tests good but no water is measured entering during fill, the control board or flow meter may be at fault and a professional technician is recommended.
