Possible Causes
Defective flow meter, Blocked flow meter turbine, Wiring issue between flow meter and control board, Scale buildup in inlet assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and water supply before working on the inlet system.
- Check inlet filters and hose: Clean the inlet filter screen at the dishwasher connection and ensure the hose is not kinked. Reduced flow can cause incorrect readings.
- Descale inlet components: If you have hard water, mineral buildup can affect the flow meter. Remove the inlet assembly (often integrated with the water inlet valve on Asko models) and inspect for scale. Soak removable parts in a descaling solution if necessary.
- Inspect flow meter wiring: Locate the small flow meter (often a plastic housing with wires) in the inlet path. Check the connector for corrosion or loose pins.
- Test operation: After cleaning and reassembly, run a short cycle and observe fill behavior. If F7 reappears, the flow meter itself is likely faulty.
- Replace flow meter if needed: Order a model-specific Asko flow meter or inlet valve assembly and install according to the service manual. If you are not comfortable with plumbing and electrical connections, contact a professional technician.
