Possible Causes
Faulty pressure sensor, Blocked air trap in sump, Clogged pressure hose, Control board misreading sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Clean filters and sump: Remove and clean all filters. Inspect the sump area for grease and debris that could block the air trap connected to the pressure sensor.
- Inspect pressure hose: Access the underside or side panel to locate the small hose from the sump/air trap to the pressure sensor. Remove it and blow through to ensure it is clear.
- Clean air trap: If accessible, remove the air trap chamber from the sump and rinse thoroughly to remove grease and residue.
- Check sensor connection: Ensure the pressure sensor’s electrical connector is firmly seated and free of corrosion.
- If F8 persists: The pressure sensor may be out of calibration or defective. Replacement of the Asko pressure sensor is usually required. If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the main control board may be at fault and professional diagnosis is recommended.
