Possible Causes
Defective drying fan motor, Blocked air duct or vent flap, Wiring fault to fan, Control board fan driver failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher. Internal fan wiring is at mains voltage.
- Check for obvious blockage: Inspect the interior top or side vent outlet for obstructions such as plastic wrap or labels that may block airflow.
- Listen for fan operation: During the drying phase, the fan should be audible. If E07 appears and no fan noise is heard, the fan may be defective.
- Access fan (model dependent): On many Balay models, the fan is located behind the inner door panel or on the side wall. Remove the appropriate panel and check the fan connector for secure fit and signs of burning.
- Clean ducts: Remove lint, grease, or debris from the air duct and vent flap.
- Professional repair: If the fan motor is open circuit or seized, replace the drying fan assembly. Control board faults should be handled by a technician.
