Possible Causes
Blocked drain hose or sink trap, Drain hose installed too low or without air gap, Kinked drain hose, Food debris blocking drain outlet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher. Water may spill when disconnecting hoses.
- Check sink drain: Run water in the sink and ensure it drains quickly. A blocked sink trap can cause E24.
- Inspect drain hose connection: Remove the drain hose from the sink trap or standpipe. Clean any debris from the connection point.
- Check hose routing: Ensure the hose is not kinked or crushed behind the dishwasher and that it forms a high loop to prevent backflow.
- Flush hose: If possible, flush the drain hose with water from a tap or garden hose to clear internal blockages.
- Clean internal filters: Remove and clean the dishwasher filters and sump area.
- Test cycle: Reconnect everything and run a short program to confirm proper draining.
