How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher. Wear gloves to protect from sharp objects.
- Access pump from inside: Remove the filters. In many Balay models, there is a small plastic cover in the sump that can be removed to access the drain pump impeller.
- Remove obstruction: Carefully reach in and feel for glass, bones, or other debris around the impeller. Remove all foreign objects.
- Check impeller: Ensure the impeller can rotate freely. If it is loose on the shaft or broken, the pump must be replaced.
- Refit cover correctly: Make sure the pump cover is properly locked back into place; an incorrectly fitted cover can cause E25.
- Test drain: Run a drain or quick program to verify that water is pumped out and E25 is cleared.
