Possible Causes
Foreign object in circulation pump impeller, Seized pump bearings, Defective circulation pump motor, Faulty start capacitor (if used)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap.
- Check for obstructions: Remove filters and inspect the sump inlet to the circulation pump. Remove any debris.
- Access pump: Lay the dishwasher on its back, remove the bottom panel, and locate the circulation pump. Remove it from the sump and check the impeller for free movement.
- Test pump: Measure motor winding resistance. If open or shorted, replace the pump. If stiff to turn, the bearings are likely seized.
- Replace pump: Install a new Bauknecht circulation pump assembly and reassemble.
