Possible Causes
Blocked drain filter, Clogged drain hose, Defective drain pump, Blocked sink siphon connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off the water supply before opening the machine.
- Clean filters: Open the door, remove the lower rack, and take out the coarse and fine filters from the sump. Rinse thoroughly under hot water and remove any food debris or glass.
- Check pump area: With filters removed, inspect the pump impeller area using a flashlight. Remove any foreign objects (bones, glass, labels) with care.
- Inspect drain hose: Check the drain hose behind the dishwasher for kinks or crushing. Detach it from the sink siphon or standpipe and flush it with water to clear blockages.
- Clean sink connection: If the hose connects to a sink trap, remove the trap and clean out grease or food buildup that may block flow.
- Test drain pump: Reassemble, restore power, and start a drain or cancel program. If you hear only a humming noise or no pump sound and F2 returns, the drain pump is likely defective and should be replaced.
